Evaluating Technical Exchange Networks (TENs) at Management Sciences for Health (MSH)

The aim of this paper is to describe an exploratory assessment of communities of practice at Management Sciences for Health (MSH). Specifically to clarify their value to MSH; develop a set of core practices in community administration; and understand why some communities perform better than others. An operational framework for communities of practice at MSH is proposed with three domains of change and ten distinct levers of change. This framework represents discrete attributes of communities that can be individually or collectively selected to enhance performance.
